What is the difference between Quartz, Granite, Quartzite, and Porcelain Countertops?
Each material has unique qualities:
- Quartz: Engineered stone, made by combining natural quartz with resins. It's non-porous, low maintenance, and available in a wide variety of colors and patterns.
- Granite: A natural stone that offers unique patterns and colors. It is durable and heat-resistant but requires periodic sealing to maintain its finish.
- Quartzite: A natural stone formed from sandstone. It is extremely durable and can be more expensive than granite, with a marble-like appearance.
- Porcelain: A man-made material that is highly durable, resistant to heat and scratches, and often used for large-format tiles or countertop surfaces. It’s also non-porous and requires little maintenance.
Each of these materials has its benefits, and the choice depends on your style preferences and functional needs. We can guide you through selecting the best countertop material for your home.
